LIVIA BRITO RETURNS TO THE SCREEN TRANSFORMED FOR THE NEW TELENOVELA “LA DESALMADA”
Livia Brito Pestana is a Cuban actress and model born in Ciego de Avila on July 21, 1986, and who gained popularity after debuting as an actress in the Televisa telenovela ‘Triunfo del amor’.
Livia emigrated with her parents in 2000. Brito was between 13 and 14 years old at the time. A year after settling in Mexico City, her father opened a restaurant called ‘La Cubana’, which offered traditional Cuban dishes. Brito worked as a waitress at her family restaurant, and later as a model, to help pay for her studies in Business Administration.
Livia Brito represented Mexico in the 2009 edition of the World Banana Queen, finishing as the first finalist and awarded as Miss Photogenic. She later enrolled in the Center for Artistic Education (CEA) of Televisa.

In 2012, she starred (in a supporting role) as Paloma González in ‘Abismo de passion’, produced by Angelli Nesma Medina. She starred in Lucero Suárez’s telenovela: ‘De Que Te quiero, Te quiero’, marking the first time that she stars as a protagonist. She then she starred once again as the protagonist in Pedro Damián’s new telenovela ‘Italian girl comes to marry’ alongside José Ron. She played Maribel Guardia in the Mexican series ‘Por Siempre Joan Sebastian’. In 2020 she finished starring in ‘Medicos, linea de vida’.
THE RETURN OF LIVIA BRITO
Today, the Cuban-Mexican actress returns to telenovelas in style as the protagonist of ‘La Desalmada’, the new production by José Alberto Castro for Televisa that starts filming in Mexico.

Livia Brito Pestana es una actriz y modelo cubana nacida en Ciego de Avila el 21 de Julio de 1986 y quien ganó popularidad luego de debutar como actriz en la telenovela ‘Triunfo del amor’ de Televisa.

Brito compartió este jueves un vídeo a través de su perfil de Instagram desde las instalaciones de Televisa San Ángel en el que presume de la compañía del galán mexicano. En las fotos dadas a conocer Livia muestra una pronunciada transformacion con un destacado cambio de look en su forma de llevar su pelo, de lacio a pelo rizado.
Los actores compartirán nuevamente foro de grabación durante los próximos meses en este melodrama que marca el regreso a Televisa como villana de Marjorie de Sousa.
«Está muy contenta y tiene muy claro que Dios y sus tiempos son perfectos», revelaba esta semana una fuente cercana a la actriz.
Entre el elenco confirmado de la telenovela también se encuentra el nombre de Eduardo Santamarina, quien será uno de los grandes villanos de la historia. «Arranco una novela hermosa con José Alberto Castro, repito otra vez con él y estoy muy feliz, muy contento. Soy el villano de la historia. Ya comenzamos en 15 días, entonces ya en los preparativos», declaró en un reciente encuentro con medios de comunicación el actor mexicano, quien protagoniza para Telemundo el drama de suspenso Buscando a Frida.
En los próximos días se revelera el elenco completo de esta telenovela que se estrenará en México durante el segundo semestre de este año.
