NORTH AMERICAN AIRLINES ANNOUNCE THEIR FLIGHTS TO CUBA
American Airlines, JetBlue, and Southwest, the three US airlines currently flying to Cuba, will maintain their number of trips to the island during the month of April.
The Cuban Airport and Airport Services Company (ECASA) issued a statement in March, through the Telegram platform, where it updated customers on the status of flights for the coming month of April.
American Airlines, for its part, indicated in the official statement shared by ECASA that “the April schedule is maintained with a single authorized flight on Mondays, but is subject to changes in the Authorized Flight schedule in compliance with the health protocols for the separation between aircraft ”.
Southwest Airlines is in a similar situation. It will only maintain one flight a week between Tampa and Havana. The trip, which was maintained in the same conditions during March, will take place on Tuesdays, leaving from Tampa at 9:30 in the morning.
JetBlue confirmed that in April its flights from Fort Lauderdale to Havana and from Havana to Fort Lauderdale will operate only on Fridays. The airline also indicated that the itinerary for May will be updated in the first days of April. They will use the email they have registered in customer reservations to share detailed information.
The JetBlue offices at the José Martí Airport will only attend to email or phone update cases for previously issued tickets. They will also serve people who, because they do not have these contacts, have presented themselves to travel on unscheduled flights. Services will also be offered to clients with open luggage cases.
“Specifically to customers who do not have a ticket issued, we ask that they go to the office located at 23 y P, in El Vedado both for information and to buy flights to the United States,” said the airline through the ECASA statement.
The airline warns that the tickets scheduled for the next few months are subject to change depending on the progress of the epidemiological situation in Cuba.

LINEAS AEREAS NORTEAMERICANAS ANUNCIAN SUS VUELOS A CUBA
American Airlines, JetBlue y Southwest, las tres aerolíneas estadounidenses que vuelan actualmente a Cuba, mantendrán su número de viajes a la isla durante el mes de abril.
La Empresa Cubana de Aeropuertos y Servicios Aeroportuarios (ECASA) emitió un comunicado en marzo, a través de la plataforma Telegram, donde actualizaba a los clientes el estado de los vuelos para el venidero mes de abril.
American Airlines, por su parte, indicó en el comunicado oficial compartido por ECASA que “la programación de abril se mantiene con un solo vuelo autorizado los lunes, pero está sujeto a cambios en el horario del Vuelo Autorizado en cumplimiento a los protocolos de sanidad para la separación entre aeronaves”.
La compañía Southwest Airlines se encuentra en una situación similar. Solo mantendrá un vuelo a la semana entre Tampa y La Habana. El viaje, que se mantuvo en iguales condiciones durante marzo, se realizará los martes, saldrá desde Tampa a las 9:30 de la mañana.
JetBlue confirmó que en abril sus vuelos desde Fort Lauderdale a La Habana y desde La Habana a Fort Lauderdale operarán únicamente los viernes. La aerolínea indicó además que el itinerario para mayo será actualizado los primeros días de abril. Utilizarán el correo electrónico que tienen registrado en las reservaciones de los clientes para compartir la información detallada.
Las oficinas de JetBlue en el Aeropuerto José Martí sólo atenderán los casos de actualización de correo electrónico o teléfono para boletos emitidos previamente. Atenderán además a personas que, por no tener estos contactos, se hayan presentado para viajar en vuelos desprogramados. También se ofrecerá servicios a clientes con casos abiertos de equipaje.
“Específicamente a los clientes que no tengan boleto emitido, pedimos que se dirijan a la oficina ubicada en 23 y P, en El Vedado tanto para información como para comprar vuelos a Estados Unidos”, indicó la aerolínea a través del comunicado de ECASA.
La aerolínea advierte que los pasajes programados para próximos meses están sujetos a cambios según el progreso de la situación epidemiológica en Cuba.
