IN THE LAST THREE MONTHS 2,490 CUBANS HAVE REQUESTED REFUGE IN MEXICO IN 2021
The Mexican Commission for Aid to Refugees (Comar), reported that so far this year 2021, recognition of refugee status has been requested for 22,606 people, of which 2,490 have been Cubans.
In its report, Comar highlighted that the petitioners’ top 10 nationalities in order are: Honduras, Cuba, Haiti, El Salvador, Venezuela, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Chile, Colombia, and Brazil.
He explained that only from Honduras there are 11,574 people, just over 50 percent of the refugee requests.
While from Cuba there are 2,490; from Haiti 2 thousand 459; from El Salvador 1,793; from Venezuela thousand 317; from Guatemala one thousand 169; from Nicaragua 487; from Chile 276; from Colombia 197; from Brazil 162 and from other countries 682.

La Comisión Mexicana de Ayuda a Refugiados (Comar), reportó que en lo que va de este año 2021, se ha solicitado el reconocimiento de condición de refugiados para 22 mil 606 personas de los cuales 2,490 han sido de cubanos.
En su informe, la Comar destacó que las 10 principales nacionalidades de los peticionarios por orden son: Honduras, Cuba, Haití, El Salvador, Venezuela, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Chile, Colombia y Brasil.
Detalló, que tan solo de Honduras suman 11 mil 574 personas, poco más del 50 por ciento de las peticiones de refugio.
Mientras que de Cuba son 2,490; de Haití 2 mil 459; de El Salvador 1,793; de Venezuela mil 317; de Guatemala mil 169; de Nicaragua 487; de Chile 276; de Colombia 197; de Brasil 162 y de otros países 682.
