Revista Bohemia (also referred to as Bohemia) is Cuba’s oldest general consumer magazine, the most popular news-weekly of its day in Cuba and Latin America, known for its political journalism and editorial writing.
Founded in 1908 by Miguel Ángel Quevedo Pérez, it provides commentary on politics, analysis of history, as well as advice on fashion, when in 1927, Miguel Ángel Quevedo (died in 1969) was the publisher and editor of Bohemia for many years.
It made claims of being the first to publish the work of Cuban artists in color.
It is still published today under the Cuban authoritarian one-party system.
BOHEMIA MAGAZINE EDITORIALS
Bohemia became the principal voice of opposition to the administration of Carlos Prio Socarras, and in support of the insurrection and revolution against the regime of Fulgencio Batista. On July 26, 1958, the magazine published the Sierra Maestra Manifesto, a document that purported to unify the opposition groups fighting Batista. On January 11, 1959, one million copies of a special edition of the magazine were printed and sold out in just a few hours.
Quevedo was able to leave Cuba, but in August 1969 he committed suicide. Prior to killing himself, he mailed a letter to one of his most distinguished collaborators, journalist Ernesto Montaner that, in effect, became his political last will and testament.
Currently, still, a version of the magazine with the same name and with great effort wanting to keep a line of public attention to achieve some of the lost popularity over the years of state control is published. Marta Rojas was one of its journalists

Revista Bohemia (también conocida como Bohemia) es la revista de consumo general más antigua de Cuba, el semanario de noticias más popular de su día en Cuba y América Latina, conocido por su periodismo político y redacción editorial.
Fundada en 1908 por Miguel Ángel Quevedo Pérez, ofrece comentario sobre política, análisis de la historia, así como consejos sobre moda, cuando en 1927 Miguel Ángel Quevedo (fallecido en 1969) fue editor y redactor de Bohemia durante muchos años.
Afirmó ser el primero en publicar la obra de artistas cubanos en color.
Todavía se publica hoy bajo el sistema autoritario de partido único cubano.
EDITORIALES DE LA REVISTA BOHEMIA
Bohemia se convirtió en la principal voz de oposición al gobierno de Carlos Prio Socarras y en apoyo a la insurrección y revolución contra el régimen de Fulgencio Batista. El 26 de julio de 1958, la revista publicó el Manifiesto Sierra Maestra, documento que pretendía unificar a los grupos de oposición que luchan contra Batista. Quevedo pudo salir de Cuba, pero en agosto de 1969 se suicidó. Antes de suicidarse, envió por correo una carta a uno de sus más distinguidos colaboradores, el periodista Ernesto Montaner que, en efecto, se convirtió en su última voluntad y testamento político.
Actualmente, aún, se publica una versión de la revista con el mismo nombre y con mucho esfuerzo queriendo mantener una línea de atención pública para lograr algo de la popularidad perdida a lo largo de los años de control estatal. Marta Rojas fue una de sus periodistas
