Olga y Tony was a Cuban husband and wife musical duo. Olga Chorens became a famous singer and television actress and personality and Tony Álvarez a radio and television host, singer, and musician.
Both were born in Havana Cuba, Olga on January 3, 1924, and Tony on November 23, 1919. Olga and Tony Alvarez began their careers separately.
Olga started singing at 11 years of age in programs for children’s radio station García Serra. Later she competed in the Supreme Court of Art, winning numerous contests. She gained huge fame after performing in the Cuban radio musical program ‘Ritmos del Plata’ hosted by Tony Álvarez. They were married on May 6, 1945, and three months later, they left Cuba on a tour that took five years throughout Latin America which began in Panama and ended in Argentina.

Well, eventually they met and five years later married and united their lives in front of the altar. When they married in 1945, their celebrity status turned the wedding into a popular social event.
THEIRS RETURN TO CUBA
On his return to Havana, they became a duo, starring ‘Ronda Musical Coca Cola’, a live radio program for over 7 years.
