CUBA HOY: LOS MASONES CUBANOS SE PONEN “AL LADO DEL PUEBLO”
Los masones cubanos se ponen “al lado del pueblo” y condenan a Díaz-Canel. El masón José Ramón Viñas Alonso fue citado por la policía tras firmar la carta que rechaza la actuación del gobernante cubano.
LOS MASONES CUBANOS del Supremo Consejo del Grado 33 condenaron la actuación de Miguel Díaz-Canel al frente del país “por convocar, incitar y ordenar un enfrentamiento con violencia hacia el pueblo cubano” tras las protestas sucedidas en los últimos días.
En una carta dirigida al gobernante cubano, los masones rechazaron las detenciones y violencia desatada por el régimen contra “manifestantes pacíficos y ciudadanos que piensan contrario al sistema” que Díaz-Canel representa.
Además, declararon su inconformidad por la justificación habitual que utiliza el régimen para defenderse de la crisis “en la que está sumida el país” achacando la culpa a “razones externas (bloque de EE UU hacia Cuba) sin reconocer la responsabilidad e ineficacia del Gobierno”.
Del mismo modo, en la carta, firmada por IPH José Ramón Viñas Alonso, Soberano Gran Comendador del Supremo Consejo, se denuncia que el estallido social en la Isla “muestra la inconformidad manifiesta en la que vive el país”. Los masones rechazaron las detenciones y violencia desatada por el régimen contra “manifestantes pacíficos y ciudadanos que piensan contrario al sistema” que Díaz-Canel representa.
Los masones dejaron en claro que su posición era estar “al lado del pueblo” y mencionaron que pertenecen a una institución que años atrás fue una de las que más “influyó en la independencia y la sociedad de esta patria”.
LA POSICION MASONICA
Advirtieron que la misiva no representa un irrespeto a la investidura de Díaz-Canel como presidente de Cuba pero sí es “una sincera y necesaria posición” por lo que vive el país.
Tras la difusión de la carta, Viñas Alonso fue citado para la estación policial de las calles Zapata y C en El Vedado, La Habana, a donde fue acompañado por un grupo de masones de la misma Logia, según confirmó a 14ymedio el escritor y también masón Ángel Santiesteban.
La posición del Supremo Consejo llegó después de una declaración de la Gran Logia de Cuba que señaló como “preocupante el uso excesivo de la fuerza por parte de los encargados del orden”.
“Hoy vemos con tristeza que algo que se veía venir por el descontento y las carencias entre la población se haya materializado en manifestaciones en todo el país”, expuso la Gran Logia y definió como “inaceptable el llamado para una confrontación entre cubanos”. También manifestaron estar “al lado del pueblo cubano” y abogaron “por la paz, la concordia y la justicia social”. “Exhortamos a que la tolerancia, la búsqueda de la verdad y el amor fraternal sean las divisas que primen en cualquiera de las circunstancias”.
HISTORIA MASONICA EN CUBA
Los masones han tenido una gran presencia en la historia cubana, especialmente en las luchas por la independencia. La mayoría de los próceres de aquella gesta lo eran, como Máximo Gómez y Antonio Maceo. Hasta la condición de masón de José Martí, que estuvo en duda durante décadas, fue finalmente confirmada.
Pero con el paso de los años y la estatización del último medio siglo, el protagonismo social y político de los masones disminuyó notablemente, junto a su número de miembros. En la actualidad se calcula que hay un poco más de 27.000 masones repartidos en 320 logias en toda la Isla.
El pasado domingo 11 de julio, las calles de Cuba se convirtieron en un hervidero de personas que salieron a protestar en contra del régimen. La movilización pacífica tuvo como puto de partida una manifestación en el municipio San Antonio de los Baños, en Artemisa, que fue transmida en vivo por Facebook hasta que la conexión fue interrumpida por el régimen.

SUCESOS DE PROTESTAS EN CUBA
En todas las concentraciones, reportadas en varias provincias como Matanzas, Camagüey, Santiago de Cuba, Cienfuegos y La Habana, se escucharon gritos de “abajo la dictadura” y “libertad”. El Gobierno cortó la conexión a internet en todo el país para impedir que los cubanos subieran a las redes sociales videos de lo que sucedía en las manifestaciones y mostraban además la represión hacia los participantes.
Durante el lunes y martes también se reportaron otras protestas en distintos puntos del país pero la dictadura incrementó la ola de represión contra los manifestantes. En redes sociales se multiplicaron las denuncias de detenciones casa por casa y de violencia policial.
Hasta el momento, no hay cifras oficiales de muertos, heridos y detenidos por las protestas. El Gobierno solo ha reconocido el fallecimiento de un hombre de 36 años que participó en una protesta el lunes en la barriada marginal de La Güinera, en La Habana. Las organizaciones civiles cuentan unos 5.000 arrestados o investigados desde el 11 de julio, incluyendo 120 activistas y periodistas.
La Secretaría de Diversidad del Consejo para la Transición Democrática en Cuba (CTDC) alertó a la comunidad internacional, y en especial a los organismos internacionales encargados de proteger los derechos humanos, de la escalada violenta de detenciones arbitrarias y desapariciones forzadas. “Vemos con muchísima preocupación la cantidad de jóvenes detenidos, algunos localizados en diversas instituciones policiales bajo un acelerado proceso de investigación con la intencionalidad de castigar públicamente lo más rápido posible, así como el desconocimiento y desaparición de un significativo número de personas detenidas”, señaló en un comunicado.
