PACKAGE COMPANY “DHL” SUSPENDS SHIPMENTS TO CUBA
DHL International GmbH (DHL) is an international courier, package delivery, and express mail service, which is a division of the German logistics company Deutsche Post.
“The International Messaging and Exchange Company of the Correos de Cuba Business Group has been notified by the DHL Company that, given the current complex situation of the Covid-19 pandemic that the world is experiencing, the difficulties in disposing of, for the moment, are aggravated of more cargo capacities in the airlines bound for Cuba and guarantee their service to our country ”.
“In this sense, DHL announces that as of Monday, August 23, the network will be temporarily suppressed to send parcels to Cuba, and the document service to Havana and the provinces remains available, in principle for two or three weeks, to observe how the airlines evolve and to connect with the little capacity available now ”.
The Correos de Cuba Business Group, yesterday, Wednesday, August 25, announced on its official Facebook page that the DHL Company was suspending the shipment of parcels to Cuba, remaining exclusively the document delivery service.

DHL International GmbH (DHL) es un servicio de mensajería internacional, entrega de paquetes y correo urgente, que es una división de la empresa de logística alemana Deutsche Post.
“La Empresa de Mensajería y Cambio Internacional del Grupo Empresarial Correos de Cuba ha sido notificada por la Compañía DHL que, ante la compleja situación actual de la pandemia Covid-19 que vive el mundo, se agravan las dificultades para disponer, por el momento, de más capacidades de carga en las aerolíneas con destino a Cuba y garantizar su servicio hacia nuestro país”.
“En tal sentido, DHL anuncia que desde el lunes 23 de agosto se suprime temporalmente a la Red el envío de paquetería a Cuba, permaneciendo disponible el servicio de documentos a La Habana y las provincias, en principio por dos o tres de semanas, para observar cómo evolucionan la compañías aéreas y para conectar con la poca capacidad disponible ahora”.
El Grupo Empresarial Correos de Cuba, ayer miércoles 25 de agosto anunció en su página oficial de facebook que la Compañía DHL suspendía el envío de paquetería a Cuba, permaneciendo exclusivamente el servicio de envío de documentos.
