Policía Estatal de Sonora incrementa la vigilancia sobre los peloteros cubanos que participan en Campeonato Mundial Sub-23, publicó el sitio Cubanosporelmundo.
El artículo hacen referencia a la publicación de Jorge Luis (Wichy) García Fuentes, guionista y actor cubano establecido en el México, en su cuenta de Facebook en la que comenta que un amigo logró captar el momento en que el equipo de peloteros cubanos se trasladaba en un ómnibus y eran escoltado por la Policía Estatal de Sonora, México.
Por otra parte el sitio web CiberCuba reseñó que según el periodista y escritor, Francys Romero, autor del libro “El sueño y la realidad. Historias de la emigración del béisbol cubano (1960-2018)” , publico el 23 de septiembre que el “equipo de Cuba, va camino al Estadio Yaquis para su debut en el Mundial Sub-23. Es el único conjunto que va escoltado hacia el estadio por la policía municipal, estatal y fiscalía del Estado. Otro reporte me confirma que los peloteros cubanos no pueden salir del hotel”.
Mientras que Eriel Sánchez, el director del equipo, afirmó que no han desistido de ganar una medalla en la competición y pidió al pueblo que “sigan confiando en ese equipo que tienen ahí”.
