Los vuelos adicionales a Cuba ya están en venta en las web de las compañías norteamericanas. American Airlines y Southwest realizaran vuelos diarios a partir de Diciembre. A partir del 15 habrá varios vuelos charters al día, con salidas desde Miami, Tampa y Orlando.
Las aerolíneas estadounidenses American Airlines y Southwest, dos de las compañías autorizadas a viajar a Cuba, realizarán vuelos diarios a la isla a partir de diciembre.
“El 2 de diciembre aumentaremos nuestro servicio a un vuelo diario entre Miami y La Habana”, dijo Laura Masvidal, portavoz de American Airlines, en declaraciones a El Nuevo Herald, y precisó que “American ofrecerá más servicios a medida que el gobierno cubano reabra el mercado”.

Desde la citada fecha solo pueden arribar a territorio estadounidense quienes hayan recibido todas las dosis de vacunas contra el coronavirus aprobadas o autorizadas por la Administración de Medicamentos y Alimentos (FDA, por sus siglas en inglés), así como de vacunas que figuren en la lista de uso de emergencia de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS). Las vacunas de producción nacional que han sido administradas a los cubanos no cumplen tales requisitos.
Aunque no al nivel del incremento que entrará en vigor en diciembre, información difundida por la Empresa Cubana de Aeropuertos y Servicios Aeronáuticos (ECASA) en su canal de Telegram anticipa que los vuelos charters de Havanatur entre Miami y La Habana se incrementan en noviembre en cantidad y frecuencia por día.
Los primeros días del mes se mantuvieron entre jueves y domingo, con uno a tres vuelos charter por día. Sin embargo, a partir del 15 habrá varios vuelos charters al día, con salidas desde Miami, Tampa y Orlando.
Sin embargo, en el caso de las restantes aerolíneas, en noviembre American Airlines se mantiene operando una frecuencia semanal con salidas de Miami cada lunes en vuelos que llega a La Habana a las 11:50 am, y otro que sale de la capital cubana a la 1:20 pm.

Jet Blue confirmó que también volará a Cuba en noviembre, con salidas desde el aeropuerto de Fort Lauderdale en vuelos programados para los viernes. El próximo será el 11 de noviembre, con arribo a Cuba a las 3:45 pm y regreso a Fort Lauderdale a las 5:15 pm.
Esa aerolínea volará a la isla del 15 al 30 de noviembre, de domingo a viernes, con arribos a las 4:00 pm y salidas a las 5:30 pm; además de dos vuelos entre Nueva York y La Habana los sábados 20 y 27 de noviembre, con llegada a las 12:45 pm y salida a las 2:15 p.m.
LOS CUBANOS ABARROTAN LAS AGENCIAS DE VIAJES
Los cubanos en Miami han abarrotado en las últimas semanas las agencias de viajes para comprar pasajes hacia Cuba desde el 15 de noviembre en adelante, luego de que el gobierno de la isla anunciara que ese día reabrirán todos los aeropuertos internacionales.
Según informó recientemente en conferencia de prensa el gobierno cubano, a partir del día 15 de este mes han autorizado 77 vuelos semanales entre La Habana y Estados Unidos.
El ministro de Transporte, Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, precisó que en total han sido aprobados 147 vuelos entre Cuba y EE.UU., aunque la materialización de los mismos en el caso de las otras provincias depende de EE.UU., teniendo en cuenta que las actuales sanciones lo impiden.
“A las aerolíneas estadounidenses se le han aprobado frecuencias hacia La Habana y al resto del país. Sin embargo, esta decisión se encuentra permeada por las restricciones del gobierno estadounidense que no permiten que vuelen a otros aeropuertos. Nuestra autorización está dada, y todas las aerolíneas que volaban tienen ya confirmada su frecuencia para esos aeropuertos”, subrayó.
El número de vuelos a Cuba desde Estados Unidos lo determina el Departamento de Transporte (DOT), que establece tres categorías. La primera es la de los vuelos regulares, que fueron reducidos solo a La Habana por el expresidente Donald Trump en 2019. Están, además, los vuelos chárter y los de ayuda humanitaria, que se autorizaron desde el pasado julio a las aerolíneas Skyway, IBC Airways y Swift Air.
