Levy protagonizó junto a Jacqueline Bracamontes en Sortilegio en 2009 ‘Sortilegio’ transmitido por Univision, y el final atrajo a 6.6 millones de espectadores, superando a ABC y CBS para los espectadores en esa franja horaria. En noviembre de 2009, el actor prestó su voz para la versión en español de la película animada Planet 51. La película se estrenó el 27 de noviembre en México y ganó un premio a la mejor película animada en español de 2009 (Premios Goya). La telenovela se emitió el 25 de octubre de 2010 en El Canal de las Estrellas. Pedro Torres, productor ejecutivo de Mujeres Asesinas, confirmó el papel de Levy en la tercera temporada de la popular serie mexicana. Levy interpretó al interés amoroso de Jennifer Lopez en el video musical “I’m Into You”, de su álbum Love ?. Se emitió en el programa Today de NBC el 2 de mayo de 2011. En diciembre de 2012, Levy fue elegido como el Capitán Damian Fabre para el remake de La Tormenta titulado La Tempestad que se emitió en 2013. CAMBIO DE NOMBRE
Nació William Gutiérrez Levy. Tuvo la idea de cambiar su nombre de un amigo de sus padres que intentó ayudar a la familia a salir de Cuba mientras la madre de William aún estaba embarazada, como le dijo a Entertainment Tonight. Levy es el apellido judío de su madre.

Levy ha estado en una relación intermitente con la actriz mexicano-estadounidense Elizabeth Gutiérrez desde 2003, y tienen dos hijos juntos, un hijo, Christopher Alexander, en 2006, y una hija, Kailey Alexandra, el 6 de marzo de 2010. En julio El 11 de noviembre de 2009, Levy se convirtió al catolicismo.

Levy was born in Cojimar, Cuba. His maternal grandfather was Jewish (the origin of his surname, Levy), although he grew up in a non-religious household. He was raised by his single mother, Barbara Levy. His family, including his brother Jonathan Gutierrez Levy and sister Barbara Gutierrez Levy, immigrated to Miami, Florida when he was 14. He was born William Gutiérrez Levy. He got the idea for his name change from a friend of his parents who tried helping the family get out of Cuba while William’s mother was still pregnant, as he told Entertainment Tonight. Levy is his mother’s Jewish last name.

In May 2012, while competing on Dancing with the Stars, nude photos of Levy leaked. Levy responded by saying “I’m used to that already. [The photos] have been out already all over the world. I was a model when I did these things, so as a model there’s nothing wrong [with] doing those kind[s] of things. You gotta work. You gotta make money”.

ACTIVISM
Levy is a philanthropist and donates his time to fix houses for low-income families in Mexico as part of the “Alianzas que Construyen” Televisa Foundation.

PERSONAL LIFE

Levy has been in an on-off relationship with Mexican-American actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez since 2003, and they have two children together, a son, Christopher Alexander, in 2006, and a daughter, Kailey Alexandra, in March 6, 2010. On July 11, 2009, Levy converted to Catholicism.
