El Departamento del Tesoro Norteamericano informó de sanción a una firma de alquiler de viviendas por violacion del U.S. Embargo a Cuba.
Varios vuelos programados para la primera semana del 2022 entre la ciudad de Miami y La Habana fueron cancelados debido al incremento de los casos del Covid-19 en su variante Ómicron en Estados Unidos, informó El Nuevo Herald.
COPA AIRLINES incrementó su frecuencia de viajes a Cuba y restableció la conexión de Holguín y Santa Clara con Panamá, según difundió la Empresa Cubana de Aeropuertos y Servicios Aeroportuarios S.A. (Ecasa). A partir de este lunes, comenzarán a salir desde el Aeropuerto Internacional José Martí, de La Habana, cinco vuelos diarios.
En su comunicado precisan que inicialmente se reactivan sábados y domingos los vuelos en el aeropuerto Abel Santamaría, de Santa Clara, y a partir del día 11 de enero, los martes y jueves. Al aeropuerto Frank País de Holguín, la aerolínea panameña volará miércoles, jueves y domingos. Ecasa precisó que para los detalles sobre “cambios” y “vuelos de conexión desde otros países”, los viajeros deben de remitirse a la aerolínea.
En la información también se recuerda que desde noviembre de 2021, la compañía panameña estableció entre sus políticas de equipaje que los viajeros sólo podrán llevar dos maletas con un peso de hasta 23 kilogramos y los cargos por sobrepeso según la tarifa de Copa Airlines.

Ecasa mantiene sin cambios el resto de su calendario de vuelos para enero. Con traslados a la Isla desde Canadá están operando las aerolíneas WestJet, AirTransat, Air Canada y Sunwing.
A Cuba desde el Caribe mexicano operan Viva Aerobus, Magnicharters y Aeromar. Desde Colombia y Bogotá la aerolínea Wingo reactivará sus vuelos este jueves. Este día también se tiene prevista la salida desde La Habana a Managua en un vuelo de Aruba Airlines.
A partir del viernes y domingo próximos Cayman Airways contará con dos vuelos semanales desde Guyana a La Habana. Fly Allways mantendrá operaciones desde Surinam, Caribbean Airlines con arribos desde Surinam, Caribbean Airlines ofrecerá servicios desde Trinidad y Tobago.
