Los desaparecidos lanzadores cubanos Yunior Tur y Yosimar Cousín llegaron a la República Dominicana hace algunas horas, informó este lunes el periodista especializado Francys Romero.
“En una de las noticias más sorprendentes de este corto 2022, tanto Tur como Cousín no se presentaron a sus respectivos conjuntos en la Serie Nacional cubana. Ambos son lanzadores espigados de prototipo bien buscado por los scouts de Grandes Ligas” (MLB, por sus siglas en inglés), dijo Romero.
En el momento de romper con el béisbol cubano, eran dos de los mejores pitchers que quedaban en Cuba entre los que poseen experiencia en Series Nacionales. Las autoridades del deporte en la Isla explicaron entre los meses de agosto y septiembre que Tur y Cousín no formarían parte del equipo al Mundial Sub-23 de México por problemas ideológicos y de índole no deportiva.
Ahora en la República Dominicana serán de los pitchers más buscados por scouts. La próxima meta para ellos será aplicar a la agencia libre.
Yunior Tur, de 22 años, lanzó para 3-1, 2.11 de efectividad, en 38.1 innings con Santiago de Cuba en 2021, ponchó a 45 bateadores y salvó 14 juegos.
Tur no asistió a la reunión del 5 de enero donde se hizo oficial la nómina de su equipo, Santiago de Cuba. Según fuentes consultadas entonces por DIARIO DE CUBA, ni siquiera la familia sabía de su paradero, mientras otras aseguraban que el prometedor serpentinero habría tenido intenciones de abandonar el país en los días finales de 2021.
Yosimar Cousín, de 23 años, trabajó en seis temporadas con Camagüey y posee experiencia y potencial como abridor, además de un excelente brazo.
Los lanzadores Yunior Tur y Yosimar Cousín arribaron a República Dominicana para intentar seguir con su carrera. El béisbol cubano sigue sufriendo pérdidas en 2022, en una ola de escapes de prospectos que no parece tener fin.

More baseball players leave Cuba: Yunior Tur and Yosimar Cousín. The missing Cuban pitchers arrive in the Dominican Republic.
The missing Cuban pitchers Yunior Tur and Yosimar Cousín arrived in the Dominican Republic a few hours ago, specialized journalist Francys Romero reported Monday.
“In one of the most surprising news of this short 2022, both Tur and Cousín did not appear for their respective teams in the Cuban National Series. Both are lanky prototype pitchers well sought after by Major League scouts” (MLB, for its acronym in English), Romero said.
At the time of breaking with Cuban baseball, they were two of the best pitchers left in Cuba among those with experience in the National Series. The sports authorities on the island explained between the months of August and September that Tur and Cousín would not be part of the team for the U-23 World Cup in Mexico due to ideological and non-sporting problems.
Now in the Dominican Republic, they will be one of the most sought-after pitchers by scouts. The next goal for them will be to apply for free agency.
