Big Gold Brick es una próxima película estadounidense de comedia oscura, escrita y dirigida por Brian Petsos, en su debut como director. Está protagonizada por Andy García, Emory Cohen, Megan Fox, Lucy Hale, Oscar Isaac, Shiloh Fernandez y Frederick Schmidt. La fotografía principal comenzó en mayo de 2019 en Toronto, Canadá.

Andy García, nacido Andrés Arturo García Menéndez en La Habana, Cuba, es un actor y director estadounidense que saltó a la fama por primera vez actuando en ‘Los intocables’ (1987) de Brian De Palma junto a Kevin Costner, Sean Connery y Robert De Niro. Continuó actuando en películas como ‘Stand and Deliver’ (1988) e ‘Internal Affairs’ (1990). Luego protagonizó ‘El Padrino III’ (1990) de Francis Ford Coppola como Vincent Mancini junto a Al Pacino, Diane Keaton y Eli Wallach. Recibió una nominación al Premio de la Academia como Mejor Actor de Reparto por su actuación. Continuó actuando en películas de Hollywood como ‘El héroe de Stephen Frears’ (1992), el drama romántico ‘Cuando un hombre ama a una mujer’ (1994) y el thriller de acción ‘Medidas desesperadas’ (1998).
Su nueva película “Big Gold Brick” cuenta la historia del escritor novato Samuel Liston y sus experiencias con Floyd Deveraux, el enigmático padre de dos hijos de mediana edad que recluta a Samuel para escribir su biografía. Pero las circunstancias que conducen a este arreglo en primer lugar son bastante sorprendentes, y los esfuerzos para escribir la biografía se ven frustrados rápidamente por el caos que se produce en esta película de comedia oscura que cambia el género.
Destacados actores ademas de García lo acompañaran Emory Cohen, Megan Fox y Lucy Hale que encabezarán el reparto de ‘Big Gold Brick’, dirigida por el debutante Brian Petsos. Andy Garcia born Andrés Arturo García Menéndez in Habana, Cuba is an American actor and director. He first rose to prominence acting in Brian De Palma’s The Untouchables (1987) alongside Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, and Robert De Niro. He continued to act in films such as Stand and Deliver (1988), and Internal Affairs (1990). He then starred in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather Part III (1990) as Vincent Mancini alongside Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, and Eli Wallach. He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his performance. His new film “Big Gold Brick” recounts the story of fledgling writer Samuel Liston and his experiences with Floyd Deveraux, the enigmatic, middle-aged father of two who enlists Samuel to write his biography. But the circumstances that lead up to this arrangement in the first place are quite astonishing-and efforts to write the biography are quickly stymied by ensuing chaos in this darkly comedic, genre-bending film.
Prominent actors such as Andy Garcia, Emory Cohen, Megan Fox, and Lucy Hale will head up the cast of ‘Big Gold Brick,’ directed by newcomer Brian Petsos. Oscar Isaac, who is executive producing, will also appear in a supporting role in the pic, as well Shiloh Fernandez and Frederick Schmidt.
