LAS AUTORIDADES CUBANAS coordinan con EE UU la ayuda ofrecida por este país para sofocar el gran incendio que sigue activo en dos de ocho depósitos de crudo de la zona industrial de la ciudad cubana de Matanzas), en el que desaparecieron 17 bomberos y resultaron heridas al menos 67 personas.
El viceministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Carlos Fernández de Cossío, escribió en Twitter que el gobierno estadounidense “ofreció asesoría técnica, puesta ya en manos de los especialistas para la debida coordinación”.
“Agradecemos profundamente condolencias y expresiones de ayuda de diversas organizaciones y personas de EE UU con motivo del siniestro en Matanzas”, añadió el vicencanciller.
La Embajada de Estados Unidos en Cuba informó también en Twitter de que estaba “en contacto con Cuba sobre el incidente en Matanzas”.
