Víctor Ciriaco Junco Tassinari, conocido profesionalmente como Víctor Junco, fue un actor mexicano de descendencia cubana. Hijo de Silvio Junco, nacido en la Habana y Enriqueta Tassinari, descendiente de italianos. Hermano del actor Tito Junco y Luisa Virginia.
Fue considerado una estrella de la Época de Oro del cine mexicano. Durante su carrera, Junco recibió dos nominaciones al Premio Ariel por sus papeles secundarios en ‘La Otra’ (1946) y ‘Misterio’ (1980), ganó por esta última.
Al concluir sus estudios en la Escuela Naval de Veracruz, trabajó un tiempo como salvavidas en el puerto. Fue campeón estatal de natación. Se trasladó a México, D.F. junto a su hermano Tito en el 1935. Estudió artes escénicas en el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes.
CARRERA ARTISTICA
Debutó como actor en el cine, como extra, en la película “Martín Garatuza” (1935). Su primer estelar fue en la película “Rosa del Caribe” (1944) con María Elena Marqués y Katy Jurado. En el 1953 fundó el Teatro Arena, donde debutó como productor con la obra “El caso de la mujer asesinadita”. Fue miembro fundador de la A.N.D.A. También trabajó en la televisión. Trabajó en alrededor de 132 películas.

Se casó sólo una vez con Rina Pasquini Trachi, cantante, bailarina y actriz italiana conocida artísticamente como Rina Valdarno, con quien procreó a su única hija Enriqueta Balbina, conocida como Jacqueline. El matrimonio terminó en divorcio.
Victor Junco falleció el 6 de junio de 1989 en México, D.F. a los 71 años de edad.

Víctor Ciriaco Junco Tassinari, known professionally as Víctor Junco, was a Mexican actor of Cuban descent. He is the son of Silvio Junco, born in Havana and Enriqueta Tassinari, descendant of Italians. He is the brother of actor Tito Junco and Luisa Virginia.
He was considered a star of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. During his career, Junco received two Ariel Award nominations for his supporting roles in ‘La Otra’ (1946) and ‘Misterio’ (1980), and he won the latter.
Upon completing his studies at the Veracruz Naval School, he worked for a time as a lifeguard in the port. He was a state swimming champion. He moved to Mexico, D.F. with his brother Tito de him in 1935. He studied performing arts at the National Institute of Fine Arts.
ARTISTIC CAREER
He debuted as an actor in the cinema, as an extra, in the film “Martín Garatuza” (1935). His first star was in the film “Rosa del Caribe” (1944) with María Elena Marqués and Katy Jurado. In 1953 he founded the Arena Theater, where he made his debut as a producer with the play “The case of the murdered woman.” He was a founding member of the A.N.D.A. He also worked on television. He worked in about 132 movies.
He was married only once to Rina Pasquini Trachi, an Italian singer, dancer, and actress known artistically as Rina Valdarno, with whom he procreated his only daughter Enriqueta Balbina, known as Jacqueline. The marriage ended in divorce.
Victor Junco died on June 6, 1989, in Mexico, D.F. at 71 years of age.
