La Termoeléctrica Guiteras se vuelve a averiar. Ahora la planta cubana sufre de un ‘punto rojo en la caldera’, a solo días de recibir una larga reparación en esa área.
LA TERMOELÉCTRICA Antonio Guiteras de Matanzas volvió a salir del sistema eléctrico nacional el lunes por avería, menos de una semana después de sincronizar y a apenas dos de recibir un mantenimiento en su caldera, lo que agravará los apagones en Cuba y pone en riesgo la promesa de Miguel Díaz-Canel de que antes de fin de año deben disminuir los cortes de servicio.
De acuerdo con el periodista oficialista Lázaro Manuel Alonso, esa planta será sufre de un “punto rojo en la caldera”, que supondrá otra reparación, en este caso de al menos tres días.
Como aliciente, el reportero del Canal Caribe aseguró que la unidad 5 de la Termoeléctrica de Mariel sincronizó en las pasadas horas; la 4 de Renté lo debe hacer el lunes “antes del horario pico nocturno” y la 5 de Nuevitas sincronizará en la misma jornada “posterior a la máxima demanda, después de cumplir varias semanas de mantenimiento”.
La Guiteras, que aporta más de 200MW al sistema eléctrico y es, junto con Felton, la mayor productora de energía de Cuba, estaba activa desde el 21 de noviembre pasado. El día 19 había salido de servicio apenas horas después de conectarse al finalizar el mantenimiento de casi una quincena.
Además de la Guiteras, fuera de servicio por avería están las unidades 6 y 7 de Mariel; la unidad de Tallapiedra; la 4 de Nuevitas y la 2 de Felton. En mantenimiento permanece la 3 de Santa Cruz del Norte; la 5 de Nuevitas y las 3 y 4 de Renté.
Según la estatal Unión Eléctrica (UNE), el lunes la disponibilidad era de 1.893MW, para una demanda de 2.420MW, lo que supone 660MW afectados por déficit de capacidad.
El déficit en la la generación térmica es de 260MW, y en la generación distribuida no están disponibles por avería 979MW y en mantenimiento hay 678MW.
De ahí que la UNE pronostique para la hora pico una disponibilidad de 2.163MW y una demanda máxima de 3.150MW, para un déficit de 987MW, “por lo que de mantenerse las condiciones previstas se pronostica una afectación de 1.057MW en este horario”, señaló.
“Considero al ingeniero que da el parte diario del Sistema Eléctrico Nacional. No debe ser muy agradable representar la cara de un sistema en crisis e ineficiente. Y si queremos ver el Mundial de Fútbol completo migremos hacia la capital, única que tiene el privilegio de disfrutar de este evento para todo el mundo”, ironizó en Facebook Armando Santos Prieto de la UNE.
