Aymée Nuviola y Gonzalo Rubalcaba homenajeados y grabados por la Biblioteca del Congreso de Estados Unidos. La cantante y el pianista cubanos, ofrecieron un concierto con su álbum “Live in Marciac” que quedó grabado en los archivos de la institución.
LOS ARTISTAS CUBANOS Aymée Nuviola y Gonzalo Rubalcaba, ambos nacidos en la Habana, fueron homenajeados este viernes por la Biblioteca del Congreso de Estados Unidos por sus aportes a la música. La cantante y el pianista cubanos, ganadores del Latin Grammy 2022, ofrecieron un concierto con su álbum Live in Marciac que quedó grabado en los archivos de la institución.
“Estamos a menos de dos horas de hacer historia dejando parte de nuestro legado musical en los archivos de la Biblioteca del Congreso de Estados Unidos. Live in Marciac quedará para la posteridad y nuestra descendencia y próximas generaciones tendrán algo muy importante que contar sobre nosotros”, escribió Aymée en su perfil de Instagram llena de satisfacción.

Junto al texto, la artista compartió imágenes del recorrido de ambos por la biblioteca y de la entrevista que concedieron.
En otro post, Aymée añadió: “Con humildad recibimos este honor y este privilegio y agradezco a Dios por llevarme a lugares que nunca imaginé para su gloria y honra. Gracias maestro Gonzalo. Gracias Biblioteca del Congreso. Gracias a todos ustedes”.
Gonzalo Rubalcaba compartió en su perfil un post publicado por el esposo y manager de Aymée, Paulo Simeón, en el que resaltaba que con este homenaje “se perpetúa el proyecto Live in Marciac”.
Este álbum, grabado por la cantante y el pianista en Francia, les ha traído muchísimas alegrías. En la última edición de los Latin Grammy, Aymée y Rubalcaba recibieron el galardón en la categoría Mejor Álbum Tropical Tradicional.
Sin embargo, este no es el único mérito de los artistas, para Aymée esta fue la cuarta nominación a los Latin Grammy y su segundo premio, pues también lo ganó en 2018 con la producción discográfica Como anillo al dedo; además de que en 2020 se alzó con un Grammy por el álbum A Journey Through Cuban Music.
Rubalcaba, por su parte, acumula con este tres Latin Grammy. En 2002 y 2006 lo ganó con sus discos Supernova y Solo, respectivamente; además de que atesora otros dos Premios Grammy en su carrera.

THE CUBAN ARTISTS Aymée Nuviola and Gonzalo Rubalcaba, both born in Havana, were honored this Friday by the United States Library of Congress for their contributions to music. The Cuban singer and pianist, winners of the 2022 Latin Grammy, offered a concert with their album Live in Marciac which was recorded in the institution’s archives.
“We are less than two hours away from making history by leaving part of our musical legacy in the archives of the United States Library of Congress. Live in Marciac will remain for posterity and our descendants and future generations will have something very important to tell about us, ”Aymée wrote on her Instagram profile full of satisfaction.
Along with the text, the artist shared images of their tour of the library and of the interview they gave.
In another post, Aymée added: “With humility, we receive this honor and this privilege and I thank God for taking me to places I never imagined for his glory and honor. Thank you, Master Gonzalo. Thank you Library of Congress. Thanks to all of you.”

Gonzalo Rubalcaba shared on his profile a post published by Aymée’s husband and manager, Paulo Simeón, in which he highlighted that with this tribute “the Live in Marciac project is perpetuated.”
This album, recorded by the singer and the pianist in France, has brought them a lot of joy. In the last edition of the Latin Grammys, Aymée and Rubalcaba received the award in the Best Traditional Tropical Album category.
However, this is not the only merit of the artist, for Aymée this was the fourth Latin Grammy nomination and her second prize since she also won it in 2018 with the record production Como Anillo al dedo; in addition to fact that in 2020 she won a Grammy for the album A Journey Through Cuban Music.
