La cantante señala que Cuba ‘es un país hermoso, en el que podría ser maravilloso estar, pero cada vez se hace más insoportable vivir’ y pide la libertad de los presos políticos cubanos.

La cantante cubana Haydée Milanés pidió en su perfil de Facebook la libertad para los más de 1.000 presos políticos que hay en las cárceles de la Isla, la mayoría por participar en las protestas pacíficas del 11 y 12 de julio de 2021.
Haydée Milanés nacida en 1980 en La Habana es una conocida cantante cubana. Es hija de la mas importante figura de la “Nueva Trova” Pablo Milanés recientemente fallecido. Haydée Milanés forma parte de la nueva escena fusión cubana. Su estilo a menudo se compara con el de Norah Jones: tímido, sensual y llamativo.
HAYDÉE PIDE LA LIBERTAD DE LOS PRESOS CUBANOS….
La artista, quien puso una foto de algunas de las mujeres presas políticas, dijo que ”son muchas las dificultades que se presentan en la vida diaria de los cubanos, de alimentación, de transporte, de falta de electricidad y agua, medicamentos y una larga lista de necesidades básicas, más el deterioro generalizado que se puede ver tan solo saliendo a caminar las calles o entrando a la casa de cualquier cubano.”
”Es la gran desilusión de pertenecer a un país hermoso, en el que podría ser maravilloso estar, pero cada vez se hace más insoportable vivir, porque no hay ilusión, porque el sistema de gobierno es ineficiente para el pueblo”, señaló la artista, hija del cantautor Pablo Milanés, recientemente fallecido.
Milanés expresó que ”lo peor de todo es que además, no podemos disentir, porque ese sistema te censura, te acosa, te reprime, te encarcela, te tortura y te destierra.”
”¡Pido la libertad para los más de mil presos políticos en Cuba! No más encarcelamientos, no más represión, no más intimidación, no más abuso! Tenemos una sola vida”, concluyó la cantante, quien desde el pasado año vive en Miami.
No es la primera vez que esta artista se pronuncia por mayores libertades políticas en Cuba. Antes del estallido nacional del 11J, Milanés se expresó públicamente para condenar la represión y las detenciones que padecen los cubanos, solo por pensar diferente.
“Estoy totalmente a favor de la libertad de expresión de todos los cubanos, y pido el cese de la persecución y las detenciones arbitrarias a jóvenes artistas, periodistas y cualquier ciudadano cubano por pensar diferente y expresarlo”, dijo Milanés en marzo de 2021, en su perfil de Facebook.
De igual modo, la artista se pronunció ante temas de gran sensibilidad como la muerte de tres niñas en enero de 2020, después que a estas menores les cayera pedazos de un balcón que se derrumbó en Centro Habana y una de ellas muriera casi al instante.

The singer points out that Cuba “is a beautiful country, where it could be wonderful to be, but every time it becomes more unbearable to live” and she calls for the release of Cuban political prisoners.
The Cuban singer Haydée Milanés called on her Facebook profile for the release of the more than 1,000 political prisoners in the island’s prisons, the majority for participating in the peaceful protests of July 11 and 12, 2021.
Haydée Milanés born in 1980 in Havana is a well-known Cuban singer. She is the daughter of the most important figure of the “Nueva Trova” Pablo Milanés recently deceased. Haydée Milanés is part of the new Cuban fusion scene. Her style is often compared to that of Norah Jones: shy, sultry, and flashy.
HAYDEE ASKS FOR THE FREEDOM OF THE CUBAN PRISONERS…
The artist, who posted a photo of some of the women political prisoners, said that “there are many difficulties that arise in the daily life of Cubans, food, transportation, lack of electricity and water, medicines and a long list of basic needs, plus the general deterioration that can be seen just by walking the streets or entering the house of any Cuban.”
“It is the great disappointment of belonging to a beautiful country, where it could be wonderful to be, but every time it becomes more unbearable to live because there is no illusion because the government system is inefficient for the people,” said the artist, daughter of singer-songwriter Pablo Milanés, recently deceased.
Milanés expressed that “the worst of all is that we cannot disagree, because that system censors you, harasses you, represses you, imprisons you, tortures you, and banishes you.”
”I ask for the freedom of the more than a thousand political prisoners in Cuba! No more imprisonment, no more repression, no more intimidation, no more abuse! We have only one life,” concluded the singer, who has lived in Miami since last year.
It is not the first time that this artist has spoken out for greater political freedoms in Cuba. Before the national outbreak of 9/11, Milanés spoke publicly to condemn the repression and arrests suffered by Cubans, just for thinking differently.
“I am totally in favor of the freedom of expression of all Cubans, and I ask for the cessation of the persecution and arbitrary arrests of young artists, journalists and any Cuban citizen for thinking differently and expressing it,” Milanés said in March 2021, in your Facebook profile.
Similarly, the artist spoke out on highly sensitive issues such as the death of three girls in January 2020, after these minors fell pieces from a balcony that collapsed in Central Havana and one of them died almost instantly.
