EL MUSICO CUBANO-AMERICANO Willy Chirino será este año el Gran Mariscal en el Desfile Cubano e Hispanoamericano que transitará por el centro de Nueva York el próximo 16 de julio, anunció el cantante.
A través de Instagram, el cantautor radicado en Miami, de 76 años, compartió un video en el que explica que el próximo 16 de julio, a las 11:00AM tendrá lugar su presentación en esa ciudad como Gran Mariscal, en un desfile que arrancará en el Madison Square Garden. “¡Qué maravilla!”, dijo.
Recordó que este año él celebra además 50 años de vida artística y esto lo va a convertir en “un día muy especial”.

EL DESTILE CUBANO HISPANOAMERICANO CREACION
El desfile cubano e hispanoamericano se creó como tal en 2018 como una celebración anual de la cultura y el patrimonio cubano en el corazón de Manhattan, con un protagonismo innegable de la diáspora cubana anticastrista.
Este es el cuarto “desfile latino” que se celebra en las calles de Manhattan después del puertorriqueño, que es el más grande, el dominicano —creado tras la pujanza de esta comunidad en los últimos años en Nueva York— y el de la Hispanidad —en torno al 12 de octubre—, que pasa por ser el más “unitario” entre todos los latinos.

THE CUBAN-AMERICAN MUSICIAN Willy Chirino will be this year the Grand Marshal in the Cuban and Hispano-American Parade that will pass through downtown New York on July 16, the singer announced.
Through Instagram, the 76-year-old Miami-based singer-songwriter shared a video in which he explains that on July 16, at 11:00 a.m., his presentation will take place in that city as Grand Marshal, in a parade that will start at Madison Square Garden. “How wonderful!” he said.

The Cuban and Hispanic American parade was created as such in 2018 as an annual celebration of Cuban culture and heritage in the heart of Manhattan, with an undeniable leading role of the anti-Castro Cuban diaspora.
This is the fourth “Latino parade” to be held in the streets of Manhattan after the Puerto Rican parade, which is the largest, the Dominican — created after the strength of this community in recent years in New York — and the Hispanic parade — around October 12—, who happens to be the most “unitarian” among all Latinos.
