Septeto Santiaguero. It is one of the flagship formations of Santiago de Cuba. Formed by young musicians in 1995, with Fernando Dewar, in the direction of the group.
The Septeto Santiaguero, popular group of this Cuban city, has been nominated for the fourth consecutive occasion to the Latin Grammy Award 2017 in the section Best traditional tropical album with the CD “Root”.
The current Latin Grammy nomination of the “Septeto Santiaguero”, has undoubtedly been achieved by the increasingly consolidated sound of the group that recreates with fidelity and its own style, the bolero, the guaracha, the son, and other authentic Creole genres.

El Septeto Santiaguero, popular agrupación de esta ciudad cubana, ha sido nominado por cuarta ocasión consecutiva al Premio Grammy Latino 2017 en el apartado Mejor álbum tropical tradicional con el CD “Raíz”.
La actual nominación al Grammy Latino del “Septeto Santiaguero”, sin duda ha sido lograda por el cada vez más consolidado sonido del conjunto que recrea con fidelidad y estilo propio, el bolero, la guaracha, el son, y otros géneros auténticamente criollos.
