El cubano Chucho Valdés, la mexicana Gloria Trevi y el colombiano Fernando Osorio ingresaron este jueves en el Salón de la Fama de Compositores Latinos (LSHOF) durante una ceremonia en la que se premió la trayectoria de otros artistas como el español Raphael y el salsero Víctor Manuelle, así como los éxitos de Gente de Zona y Descemer Bueno, reportó EFE.

El ecuatoriano Carlos Rubira Infante, recientemente fallecido, y el productor y músico estadounidense KC Porter completaron el grupo de compositores reconocidos en 2018 en una gala celebrada en el Knight James Center de Miami.

“Me dijeron que yo era la única mujer aquí”, dijo Trevi al ser incorporada al Salón de la Fama, en referencia a que es la única compositora reconocida en la presente edición. “Pero siento conmigo la presencia omnipotente de muchísimas mujeres que están aquí y que no han podido llegar aún”, señaló.

La artista mexicana, quien cuenta con un premio Billboard Latino y cinco premios en el festival de Viña del Mar, entre otras distinciones, es autora de cerca de 400 canciones, algunas de ellas éxitos como “Pelo Suelto”, o “Zapatos Viejos”.

Durante la fiesta Chucho Valdés, considerado el padre del afro jazz latino, hizo una magistral interpretación musical en piano acompañado de una orquesta de metales.

Ganador de seis Grammy y tres Grammy Latinos y creador del icónico grupo cubano Irakere, Valdés recordó a su madre, quien “este mes estaría cumpliendo 100 años” y a su padre, Bebo, a quien dijo se lo debe “todo”.

Osorio, quien formó parte del dúo Fernando y Juan Carlos, pero es conocido como compositor de canciones para artistas como Ricardo Montaner, Cristian Castro y Marta Sánchez, interpretó su composición para Celia Cruz “La negra tiene tumbao” y la terminó con la frase “Venezuela ya viene tu aurora”, en una clara referencia a la situación política del país en el que creció.

El quinto artista en ingresar en el salón de la fama fue el productor, cantante, compositor y músico estadounidense ganador de tres premios Grammy y Grammy Latinos KC Porter, quien produjo, entre otros, el álbum Supernatural, de Carlos Santana, y muchas de las canciones más exitosas de Ricky Martin.

Estos músicos se sumaron a los cubanos Emilio y Gloria Estefan, el argentino Gustavo Santaolalla, el brasileño Antonio Carlos Jobim, el boricua José Feliciano, el colombiano Carlos Vives o los españoles Julio Iglesias y Camilo Sexto, entre otros artistas que recibieron anteriormente este honor.

El Salón de la Fama de Compositores Latinos, que tiene como misión reconocer la labor y carrera musical de los compositores de la industria de la música latina, premiando así su esfuerzo tras cada canción, aprovechó la gala para reconocer el trabajo de otros artistas con una serie de premios especiales.

El más prestigioso del conjunto de los premios denominados La Musa, el de Leyenda en Vida, fue para Raphael.

“Yo debo mi carrera a los compositores”, dijo el cantante español ante una audiencia que reunía muchos de los principales autores de éxitos de la música en español y que le aplaudía de pie.

El de Linares destacó al “gran” Manuel Alejandro como el principal artífice de sus temas y subrayó que tanto él como otros le dieron el “poder” en el escenario.

Raphael también fue uno de los números musicales de la noche. Víctor Manuelle recibió el Premio Ícono de la mano de Emilio Estefan y cantó un popurrí de los temas de su autoría que se hicieron famosos en voces de otros.

La noche había comenzado con la presentación del cantautor cubano Descemer Bueno, quien interpretó “Bailando”, su éxito con Enrique Iglesias en una noche en la que recibió el Premio Conquistador.

También se presentaron el dúo cubano Gente de Zona, que fue galardonado con el Premio Triunfador.

“Les dedicamos este premio a los compositores en Cuba que por alguna razón nunca han tenido la oportunidad de estar aquí”, expresó Alexander Delgado, uno de los integrantes del dueto.

La noche se cerró con la presencia en el escenario de Gente de Zona, el colombiano Silvestre Dangond y la cubana Aymée Nuviola, entre otros, para cantar “La Macarena”, del dúo español Los del Río, escogida como la canción del año en esta sexta edición.

Raphael was also one of the musical numbers of the night. Víctor Manuelle received the Icon Award from the hand of Emilio Estefan and sang a medley of the themes of his authorship that became famous in the voices of others.
