Baseball: Father and Son, the Same Uniform

Since Jack Doescher, pitcher for the Chicago Cubs in 1903 became the first descendant of player to follow in the footsteps of his father, there have been notable examples of parent-child pairs in the history of the sport today.
Perhaps the most unusual of these was that made up Ken Griffey and Ken Griffey Jr., who, in 1990 with the Seattle Mariners became the first combo of this kind to appear together in one game. In fact they completed the season and the next, and even have a record to shoot both a home run in the same game.
In Cuba, for over 130 years of winter ball have also been numerous cases (Luis Tiant and Luis Tiant Jr., in the past, and Peter J. Rodriguez and Pedro J. Rodriguez Jr, Lourdes and their offspring Gurriel Yulieski and Yunieski Among the most recent), but who certainly have the greatest merit in the island-style Griffey, are Rafael O. Orlando and its offshoot Acebey Acebey.
This is the combination Cuban who has the honor of being the first to wear the same uniform and the same challenge in the history of the Cuban Winter League.
The incident occurred on November 23, 2003, when both left the field to defend the colors of Villa Clara. In the clash, Rafael served in the third, while his son watched over second base.

Desde que Jack Doescher, lanzador de los Cachorros de Chicago, se convirtió en 1903 en el primer descendiente de pelotero en seguir los pasos de su padre, han existido notables ejemplos de parejas de padres e hijos en la historia de este deporte hasta nuestros días.
Quizás la más peculiar de ellas fue la que integraron Ken Griffey y Ken Griffey Jr., quienes, en 1990, con los Marineros de Seattle, se convirtieron en el primer combo de este tipo en aparecer juntos en un mismo juego. De hecho ellos completaron esa temporada y la siguiente, e incluso tienen el récord de disparar ambos un jonrón en el mismo partido.
En Cuba, por más de 130 años de béisbol invernal también han existido numerosos casos (Luis Tiant y Luis Tiant Jr., en el pasado, y Pedro J. Rodríguez y Pedro J. Rodríguez Jr, o Lourdes Gurriel y sus retoños Yulieski y Yunieski, entre los más recientes), pero quienes ciertamente se llevan el mayor mérito en la Isla, al estilo de los Griffey, son Rafael O. Acebey y su vástago Orlando Acebey.
Esta es la combinación cubana que tiene el honor de ser los primeros en vestir el mismo uniforme y en el mismo desafío, en toda la historia de la Liga invernal cubana.
