Vladimir Cruz (nacido en Villa Clara, Cuba el 26 de julio de 1965) es un actor cubano que ha aparecido en varios largometrajes, series de televisión, obras teatrales y cortometrajes. También ha dirigido películas y obras teatrales.
Cruz estudió Actuación en el Instituto Superior de Arte de La Habana y se graduó en 1988. Es mejor conocido por su papel en Fresa y chocolate (título en inglés de Fresa y Chocolate) y ha ganado el “Mejor papel de Apoyo” en la película en su papel de joven david
En 1995, dirigió dos obras de teatro para teatro, No le digas que la quieres, escrita por Senel Paz y El espejo en el espejo escrita por Michael Ende. Tiene muchos papeles en otras obras teatrales. Desde 2005, también trabaja en la escritura de guiones y en la generación y gestión de varios proyectos audiovisuales como parte del equipo multicultural CayArte, [1] con sede en Roma. En 2005, escribió, produjo, dirigió y tocó en ¿Soy yo acaso el guardián de mi hermano? En 2010, dirigió su primer largometraje titulado Afinidades, que también protagonizó la película.

Vladimir Cruz, en la entrevista ofrecida al programa de televisión cubano Arte 7 en diciembre, reveló su participación en ‘Narcos’ en México, pero nunca aclaró cuál era su papel ni el peso específico del mismo. En el sitio www.cubanos.guru.com, declaró que era un narcotraficante.
Cruz está ahora en las grandes pantallas cubanas gracias a ‘Los buenas demonios’, en la que comparte el elenco con Carlos Enrique Almirante, Isabel Santos y Yailene Sierra, entre otros. En la película, interpreta a un antiguo luchador internacionalista que ahora trabaja por cuenta propia y es dueño de un paladar. El actor actúa por tercera vez en una película de Gerardo Chijona, ya que ya era una estrella del Paraíso bajo las estrellas y La cosa humana.
‘Narcos’ es una de las series más famosas entre las producidas por Netflix junto con Stranger Things o House of Cards y en las primeras temporadas se centró en la figura de Pablo Escobar y el cartel de Medellín, pero en la tercera temporada la serie se centró en El mismo tema pero en Cali.

Vladimir Cruz (born in Villa Clara, Cuba on July 26, 1965) is a Cuban actor who has appeared in a number of feature films, television series, theatre works, and shorts. He has also directed films and theatre works.
Cruz studied Acting at Instituto Superior de Arte de La Habana and graduated in 1988. He is best known for his role in Fresa y chocolate (English language title Strawberry and Chocolate) and has won “Best Supporting role” in the film in his role as young David.
In 1995, he directed two plays for the theatre, No le digas que la quieres, written by Senel Paz and El espejo en el espejo written by Michael Ende. He has many roles in other theatre works. Since 2005 he also works in screenwriting and the generation and management of various audio visual projects as part of CayArte multicultural team,[1] based in Rome. In 2005, he wrote, produced, directed and played in ¿Soy yo acaso el guardián de mi hermano?. In 2010, he directed his first long feature film titled Afinidades, also starring in the film.

‘Narcos’ is one of the most famous series among those produced by Netflix along with Stranger Things or House of Cards and in the first seasons it focused on the figure of Pablo Escobar and the Medellin cartel, but in the third season the series focused on the same subject but in Cali.
