Intérprete cubano-española nacida en La Habana (Cuba). Desde muy temprana edad Luisa María Güell estudió piano, ballet, baile español y arte dramático.
En 1964 se convirtió en una estrella juvenil idolatrada por todos; actuó en cine y teatro y grabó sus primeros discos. Como cantante hizo popular en Cuba No tengo edad para amarte, gracias a su carisma y al timbre de su voz.
En 1969, de la mano del compositor Manuel Alejandro, ganó el primer premio en el Festival de la Canción Internacional de Málaga; en 1972, representando a España, obtuvo el Premio Voz y Canción con el tema de Herreros y Armenteros Yo me enamoro de ti, en Puerto Rico. En 1979 consiguió en París, representando a España, el Premio de Interpretación y se le concedió la Medalla de Oro Edith Piaf como autora y compositora, siendo la primera artista no-francesa en recibirlo. También musicalizó e interpretó la obra La edad de oro de José Martí, trabajo por el que se le otorgó el Premio In the company of women. Su discografía comprende actualmente un total de 23 obras.
Luisa María Güell, nació en la Habana, Cuba un 20 de Diciembre de 1944 y es una destacada cantante, actriz, y compositora.
Estudió en la Academia de Arte Dramático, Escuela de Arte Cubanacán, y locución, en el Instituto Abraham Lincoln, y en el Instituto de la Alianza Francesa; baile español.
Desde sus comienzos en la radio y televisión cubana obtuvo un éxito total del primer disco editado en Cuba “No tengo edad para amar” e “Y digo no” (1965). Además “En tu motoneta”, son algunos de sus éxitos en toda la Isla.intérprete cubano-española nacida en La Habana.
Ella era popular en Cuba gracias a su carisma y al timbre de su voz.
Ella dejó Cuba hacia España en 1968.
En 1969, de la mano del compositor Manuel Alejandro, ganó el primer premio en la canción internacional “Festival de Málaga”. En 1972, en representación de España, ganó el premio “Voz y canción” con el tema de Herreros y Armenteros “Yo me enamoro de ti” en Puerto Rico.
En 1979 obtuvo en París, en representación de España, el premio de autor e interpretación y recibió la medalla de oro “Edith Piaf” como autora y compositora, siendo la primera artista no francesa en recibirla. Ella ganó en Francia el premio con el Premio en el Festival “Grand Prix de París International de la Chanson”.
También musicalizó e interpretó “La Edad de Oro” de José Martí, por la cual fue galardonada con “En compañía de mujeres”.
Vive en Miami desde 1984, donde ha realizado múltiples conciertos en el “Dade County Auditorium”, actuando con sus músicos y también con la “Florida Chamber Orchestra, en el” Town Hall “de Nueva York”. Un Tributo Edith Piaf “de María Julia Casanova y” Piaf “de Pancho Pizzi, fueron dos obras que realizó en varios teatros de los Estados Unidos. Recibió las llaves de la ciudad, las proclamas y la celebración de sus actuaciones en múltiples ocasiones.

Luisa Maria Guell born in Cuba on December 20, 1944, is a distinguished singer, composer, and actress with International Recognition.
From an early age, Luisa Maria Güell studied piano, ballet, Spanish dance, and dramatic art.
