Laritza Bacallao was born on July 7, l987, in Havana and she began her precocious artistic life at the age of five when she went on stage for the first time to sing “The Little Mermaid”, the subject of a movie. from Disney. At just 10 years old, she made her first international tour, to present the show “Cuba Tropical” in Japan.
She graduated from the “Manuel Saumel” music school as an elementary level graduate in Choral Conducting; and after the “Guillermo Tomás”, where she trained as a pianist accompanist. Her music comes from a family tradition: she is the daughter of Ernesto Bacallao and granddaughter of Felo Bacallao, singers of the emblematic Aragón Orchestra.

LARITZA BACALLAO SINGS “QUE SUENEN LOS TAMBORES”.
Laritza is one of the most outstanding singers of popular and contemporary music in Cuba. In his concerts he deserves ovations from the public for his well-timbered voice and his successful interpretation, with an excellent repertoire made up mainly of popular dance music, he has risen to the first levels of popularity inside and outside Cuba by the hand of composers such as Osmani Espinosa, Sheena, Germán Nogueira among others.
Laritza is unpretentious, she barely wears makeup and wears tight clothing that highlights her beautiful figure. Absent are the sparkles and sequins that are practical de rigueur for some Cuban artists. This naturalness in the midst of a world full of forgeries is a virtue in itself, but it is not the only strong point of it. She has a powerful voice and a captivating stage presence, which attracts men and women, children, and grandparents.
In her career as a vocalist, the young woman has appeared in different events in Cuba, she is distinguished by her participation in several editions of the Boleros de Oro Festival. For years she has also participated in the tributes to the famous Cuban singer Benny Moré.

LARITZA BACALLAO SINGS “NADIE TE LO QUITA”
She has worked in different musical formats and with musicians like Osmani García, Paulo FG, among others. At her concerts, she deserves ovations from the public for her well-timbered voice and her successful interpretation. Before starting her introductions, she always tries to be calm.
She has obtained several awards, in popularity of the Cuban television program “Entre tú y yo”, in 2012 and 2013. She also won the Lucas Award 2014 in the category of Best Electronic Merengue Video with the song “Que suenen los tambores”. In 2015 she was nominated for the Premios Juventud awarded by Television in the United States in the Youth Revelation category.
In September 2016, he celebrated his 20 years of artistic life in a great concert at the Karl Marx Theater in Havana, in which he had as guests the Free Dance company, the PMM company (For a better world), and the singers Cándido Fabré and JG. Currently, Laritza Bacallao continues to promote her album, You Only Live Once, on stages around the world.
She has been part of the cast of the Boleros de Oro Festival in several editions. For years she has participated in the tributes made to the emblematic Cuban singer Beny Moré. She and in some editions of the Habaneras Festival in Havana.
She has recently joined the prestigious P.M.M catalog and the iEvents company with a view to launching and developing her career in the United States as a platform to the world. For many Cubans, Laritza is considered the voice of the people for her good singing, and she is admired by a large number of Spanish speakers.

Laritza Bacallao nació el 7 de julio de l987, en La Habana y desde los comenzo su precoz vida artistica a los cinco años de edad, cuando subió por primera vez al escenario para cantar “La Sirenita”, tema de una película de Disney. Con solo 10 años realizó su primera gira internacional, para presentar en Japón el espectáculo “Cuba Tropical”.
Egresó de la escuela de música “Manuel Saumel”, como graduada de nivel elemental en Dirección Coral; y luego de la “Guillermo Tomás”, donde se formó como pianista acompañante. La música le viene por tradición familiar: es hija de Ernesto Bacallao y nieta de Felo Bacallao, cantantes de la emblemática Orquesta Aragón.
Lartiza es una de las más destacadas cantantes de la música popular y contemporánea de Cuba. En sus conciertos merece ovaciones del público por su bien timbrada voz y su acertada interpretación, con un exelente repertorio conformado mayormente por música popular bailable ha escalado hasta los primeros planos de popularidad dentro y fuera de Cuba de la mano de compositores como Osmani Espinosa , Sheena , Germán Nogueira entre otros.
Laritza no tiene pretensiones, apenas usa maquillaje y se viste con ropa ajustada que resalta su hermosa figura. Ausentes están los destellos y lentejuelas que son prácticamente de rigor para algunos artistas cubanos. Esta naturalidad en medio de un mundo plagado de falsificaciones es una virtud en sí misma, pero no es su único punto fuerte. Tiene una voz poderosa y una presencia escénica cautivadora, que atrae a hombres y mujeres, niños y abuelos.

LARTIZA BACALLAO CANTA “CARNAVAL”
En su trayectoria como vocalista, la joven se ha presentado en disímiles eventos en Cuba, se distingue por la participación en varias ediciones del Festival Boleros de Oro. Durante años ha intervenido también en los homenajes al insigne cantante cubano Benny Moré.
Ha trabajado diferentes formatos musicales y con músicos como Osmani García, Paulo FG, entre otros. En sus conciertos merece ovaciones del público por su bien timbrada voz y la acertada interpretación. Antes de comenzar sus presentaciones, siempre trata de estar tranquila.
Ha obtenido varios premios, en popularidad del programa televisivo cubano “Entre tú y yo”, en 2012 y 2013. También ganó el Premio Lucas 2014 en la categoría de Mejor Video Merengue Electrónico con la canción “Que suenen los tambores”. En 2015 fue nominada a los Premios Juventud que otorga la Televisión de Estados Unidos en la categoría Revelación Juvenil.

LARITZA BACALLAO CANTA “QUE HABLEN”.
En septiembre de 2016 celebró sus 20 años de vida artística en un gran concierto en el Teatro Karl Marx de La Habana, en el cual tuvo como invitados a la compañía danzaría Free Dance, la compañía PMM (Por un mundo mejor) y a los cantantes Cándido Fabré y JG. Actualmente Laritza Bacallao prosigue la promoción de su disco Solo se vive una vez en escenarios de todo el mundo.
Ha formado parte del elenco del Festival Boleros de Oro en varias ediciones. Durante años ha participado en los homenajes realizados al emblemático cantante cubano Beny Moré. Y en algunas ediciones del Festival Habaneras en la Habana.
Recientemente se ha unido al prestigioso catálogo de P.M.M, y a la compañía iEvents con vista a lanzar y desarrollar su carrera en los Estados Unidos como plataforma al mundo. Para muchos cubanos Laritza es considerada la voz del pueblo por su buen cantar y es admirada por gran cantidad de hispanohablantes.
