1.- CESAR PORTILLO DE LA LUZ: el Maestro del Feeling
Melancólica, apasionada, sonoramente hermosa y poética eran el sello identitario de la obra de Portillo de la Luz. Fue fundador junto a otros exponentes de la música cubana de un revolucionario tipo de canción: el feeling (filin en su forma españolizada). Se trata de un género musical que toma elementos de la trova, tiene estructura lírica en el bolero y permite un acercamiento más sentido al espectador, dotando las letras de una gran carga simbólica.
La genuina forma de componer que tenía César se caracterizaba por el diseño melódico, las descripciones tan abarcadoras de los sentimientos y su inigualable aptitud, además cada canción, nacida de él, aportaba algo novedoso a su obra. Se convirtió en uno de los boleristas cubanos más aclamados de su tiempo.

2.- OLGA GUILLOT: La Reina del Bolero.
Olga Guillot nuestra bolerista estrella fue una de las mas distinguidas cantantes de todas las epocas en Cuba, conocida como la “reina del bolero”. Era originaria de la ciudad cubana de Santiago de Cuba.
No fue hasta 1945 que se descubrió su talento como cantante de boleros, cuando Facundo Rivero, un hombre influyente en Cuba. escena musical de la época, la escuchó cantar por primera vez y la ayudó a hacer su debut como cantante profesional en un famoso club nocturno de La Habana. Consiguió fama internacional por primera vez en los Estados Unidos con su versión en español de “Stormy Weather” en 1946.
Guillot viajó a México en 1948 donde se consagró como cantante y actriz internacional, apareciendo en varias películas y realizando su segundo álbum. En México, Guillot comenzó a gozar de mucha popularidad por primera vez en su carrera.

Uno de los más legítimos talentos cubanos, Matamoros, revolucionó la música de su tiempo, convirtiéndose en uno de los boleristas cubanos más aclamados por el público. Fundó en 1925 el popular Trío Matamoros. Esta legendaria agrupación combinó en su repertorio los mejores ritmos del oriente cubano: el son y el bolero. Rápidamente Cuba y el mundo se hicieron eco de su indudable idoneidad y pasó a marcar un hito en la historia universal de la música.
En los años 40 el ambiente musical nocturno de La Habana estaba protagonizado por conjuntos, así que Miguel crea el Conjunto Matamoros. Compartió escenario con importantes figuras, pero la Musicalísima no pasó desapercibida. Rápidamente logró un prestigio mundial.
Su calidez vocal le permitió participar en importantes certámenes donde alcanzó el respeto, el cariño y la pasión de su público. Aunque continúa fiel a su género de canción heredada de su padre, Beatriz ha sabido combinar lo mejor de todos los tiempos de la música cubana.
