LA CUBANA ANA DE ARMAS sustituirá a Scarlet Johansson en Gosthed, una película romántica con ingredientes de acción y aventuras de Apple Original Films que será dirigida por Dexter Fletcher, informó Deadline.
El proyecto, con guion escrito por Rhett Reese y Paul Wernick, autores de Zombieland, reunirá a De Armas nuevamente con Chris Evans, con el que ya coincidió en Puñales por la espalda, donde mostraron gran química.
Johansson ha tenido que abandonar por problemas de agenda con un rodaje que dará comienzo en febrero.

La actriz cubana también compartirán roles con Evans en The Gray Man, el blockbuster que los Russo preparan para Netflix y en el que también se reencontrará con su compañero de Blade Runner 2049, Ryan Gosling.
La joven estrella sigue en racha. También estrenará el thriller erótico Deep Water, cinta en la que comenzó su relación ya finalizada con Ben Afleck, o Ballerina, el spin-off de John Wick.
La filmografía de la joven de 33 años incluye títulos como Manos de piedra (2016), que fue su primera película en Hollywood, aunque se estrenó tardíamente; Blade Runner (2017), en la que interpretó a Joi, un personaje secundario por el que recibió elogios de la crítica y una nominación al Premio Saturn como mejor actriz de reparto, y Knives out (2019), por la que fue nominada al Globo de Oro como mejor actriz de comedia o musical y al Premio Satellite como mejor actriz dramática.
De Armas fue además la actriz encargada de encarnar a la icónica Marilyn Monroe en Blonde, una película de Netflix cuya premier estaba prevista para agosto, durante el Festival de Cine de Venecia. Su estreno ha sido retrasado debido a que los ejecutivos de la plataforma se escandalizaron por su contenido, que consideraron demasiado sexual y explícito.
La cubana intervino en Sin tiempo para morir, la más reciente película de la saga del agente británico James Bond.
