El Cristo de la Habana, Cuba, es una gran escultura que representa a Jesús de Nazaret, ubicada en el suburbio habanero de Casablanca, en el municipio de Regla, fue inaugurada en el cerro La Cabaña el 24 de diciembre de 1958 en la cima de una colina, y fue obra de la escultora cubana Jilma Madera, quien ganó el encargo por ella en 1953.
Desde el puerto de La Habana puede verse, con su mano extendida bendiciendo las entradas y salidas en la bahía. La estatua fue tallada en mármol blanco de Carrara, el mismo material utilizado para muchos de los monumentos del Cementerio de Colón.
La imagen tiene unos 20 metros de altura y reposa sobre una base de tres metros en la que su creadora enterró diversos objetos de la época. El peso aproximado de la estatua es de unas 320 toneladas y está compuesta por 67 piezas que fueron traídas desde Italia, ya que fue esculpido en Roma y allí bendecido por el Papa Pío XII.
La figura de Cristo está de pie con la mano derecha cerca de la barbilla y la mano izquierda cerca de su pecho. Frente a la ciudad, la estatua se quedó con los ojos vacíos para dar la impresión de mirar a todos, desde cualquier lugar a la vista.
La escultura está ubicada a 51 metros (167 pies) sobre el nivel del mar, elevándose a una altura de 79 metros (259 pies), lo que permite a los lugareños verla desde muchos puntos de la ciudad. Hay un mirador panorámico en el sitio de la escultura.

La creación de la obra fue de la escultora cubana Jilma Madera, nacida en La Victoria, Pinar del Río que estudió pintura y escultura en la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes “San Alejandro” bajo la tutela de Juan José Sicre (escultor del Monumento José Martí).
Jilma Madera fue una conocida escultora cubana. Cuyas dos mas famosas obras fueron, el Cristo de La Habana y el busto de José Martí en el Pico Turquino.
Su estatua del Cristo de La Habana fue una comisión que ganó en 1953 durante el gobierno de Fulgencio Batista.
Se hizo en mármol de Carrara y mide 60 pies de alto y pesa 320 toneladas. Se compone de 67 piezas que fueron traídas de Italia, donde Madera talló la estatua y fue bendecida allí por el Papa Pío XII.
Fue inaugurado el 24 de diciembre de 1958, dos semanas antes de la caída del gobierno de Batista. Muchas veces la magnificente escultura ha sido blanco de descargas eléctricas, pero aún conserva su figura esbelta, ahora custodiado por pararrayos.
