Celia Cruz, Andy García, Lucrecia, Albita, Chirino y otros artistas cantan versos de José Martí. El disco, con 14 canciones, será presentado “este otoño en la ciudad de Miami”.
EL ÁLBUM “José Martí, Versos de Cuba” Canciones de Libertad, basado en textos del poeta y líder independentista cubano (1853-1895), incluye las voces de Celia Cruz y Andy García en un registro que ha sumado a reconocidas figuras del cancionero iberoamericano para celebrar los 170 años del natalicio del bardo cubano.
El disco, que nace de una idea del autor y productor Oscar Gómez, agrupa 14 canciones y un bonus track basados en los ” Versos Sencillos (1891) de José Martí y ya está disponible en plataformas digitales, según un comunicado distribuido este miércoles.
En él participan reconocidos intérpretes de Iberoamérica como Willy Chirino, Albita, Lucrecia y Antonio Carmona, entre muchos otros.
Canciones como Todo Es Hermoso, Déjenme Irme Pa’l Bohío, Guantanamera, Óyeme Guajiro, Un Pueblo Solo y Cautivo, entre otras, conforman la banda sonora de la vida de José Martí, señala el comunicado.

En estos versos se unen la poesía, la humanidad, y la dimensión política de un hombre que entregó su vida por la independencia de Cuba, destaca el comunicado.
Con estas canciones, la música de Oscar Gómez y los arreglos de Daniel García Diego y José Negroni, añade, “se puede conocer un poco más el pensamiento de uno de los escritores más influyentes de América, el genial José Martí”.
