El Hospital Cubano de Dukhan, a 60 millas de la capital Doha, está en funcionamiento desde el 28 de abril del 2011 en medio del desierto qatarí. Su inauguración oficial se produjo en enero de 2012, con la presencia del Emir de Qatar, Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, y el ministro cubano de Salud Publica, Roberto Morales.
Es el primer hospital con dirección médica completamente cubana.
