CUBA: ESCASEZ DE DINERO EN WESTERN UNION INQUIETA A LA POBLACIÓN.
Desde hace varios días las oficinas de Western Union en Cuba presentan problemas para suministrar dinero a sus usuarios. Algunos empiezan a ver con temor la situación.
“Hoy tenemos dinero, pero dentro de media hora no sé. Mira la hora que es y aún el camión de Trasval no ha llegado”, comenta la encargada de una de las tantas Western Union que hay en la ciudad, que además, no quiere que la identifiquen ni con su nombre ni con el municipio en el que trabaja.
“Si dejo que publiquen algún dato, sabrán que soy yo. En estos días aquí ha venido gente protestando, maldiciendo y uno sin tener una explicación que dar”, dice para concluir.
En la Cadeca de Alamar, donde normalmente la cola es constante para recibir el servicio de envío de remesas, hoy no hay nadie.
“O la gente está yendo a otras oficinas o se ha corrido la bola de que no hay dinero en la Western”, dice un usuario que solo necesita cambiar CUC en CUP.
En la oficina situada en la tienda Yumirí, en la calle Reina y Belascoaín, algunas personas se muestran preocupadas.
“Cerró a las 12. Es que no tiene dinerito”, dice la señora del guardabolsos que por la proximidad de su puesto de trabajo con la puerta de la Western, lo escucha todo. “La gente hoy ha estado como desesperada. Sacando dinero”.
“Cuando no es una cosa es la otra. Pero con esto habían sido bastante serios. Imagínate que ahora les dé por fallar en esto también”, afirma una señora que acostumbra a recibir el dinero de su hijo por esta vía y que no se había enterado.
En otra Cadeca de Centro Habana una usuaria se muestra preocupada no solo por su dinero: “Llamé a Trasval pensando que ellos eran los responsables y aunque me trataron muy bien, pensé que podía meter en problemas a la muchacha de la Western que siempre me atiende”. Y agrega: “Enseguida me preguntaron para quién yo trabajaba. Me pidieron que dijera quién me había dicho que ellos eran los responsables. Me quedó bien claro que si hay un responsable es otro, no ellos”.
La empresa Trasval solo funciona como transportista de los cheques que expide Cimex. Y los teléfonos de Cimex dan timbre o un interminable ocupado.
