The Festival of Montreal launches a film in homage to Ernesto Lecuona. It stars pianists Chucho Valdes, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Michel Camilo.

A musical film in homage to Ernesto Lecuona Cuban maestro will be exhibited in world premiere at the Montreal Film Festival held from Thursday until 7 September.
Playing Lecuona The film, directed by Pavel Giroud (Cuba) and Juanma Betancort Villar (Canary Islands) it is played for three pianists Chucho Valdes, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Michel Camilo.
It also has the participation of guest artists like Ana Bethlehem, Omara Portuondo, Raimundo Amador and Los Muñequitos de Matanzas, reported Prensa Latina.
Playing Lecuona is an international co-production led by the canary producer Insularia Films, which also involved the Andalusian The Colombian Zanfoña Igolai Productions and Productions.

Un largometraje musical en homenaje al maestro cubano Ernesto Lecuona se exhibirá en premier mundial en el Festival de Cine de Montreal que se celebra desde este jueves y hasta el 7 de septiembre.
El filme Playing Lecuona, del director Pavel Giroud (Cuba) y JuanMa Villar Betancort (Islas Canarias) está protagonizado por tres pianistas Chucho Valdés, Michel Camilo y Gonzalo Rubalcaba.
Asimismo, cuenta con la participación de artistas invitados como Ana Belén, Omara Portuondo, Raimundo Amador y Los Muñequitos de Matanzas, informa Prensa Latina.
Playing Lecuona es una coproducción internacional, liderada por la productora canaria Insularia Films, en la que también participa la andaluza La Zanfoña Producciones y la colombiana Igolai Producciones.
