VERIZON WIRELESS ANUNCIÓ SUS CLIENTES PODRÁN ENVIAR “TEXTOS” CUBA-EEUU.
La empresa Verizon Wireless (NYSE, Nasdaq: VZ), anunció la disponibilidad de su servicio de roaming para clientes que visiten Cuba. Los clientes del proveedor que visiten la isla podrán hacer llamadas y enviar mensajes de textos a Estados Unidos.
Con esto, la compañía se convertirá en la primera proveedora de telefonía e Internet móvil en contar con este servicio desde que comenzó el bloqueo de Estados Unidos a la isla caribeña.
“Aún faltaban décadas para que se inventaran los teléfonos móviles cuando se restringieron los viajes entre EE.UU. y Cuba en 1963. Hoy en los clientes de Verizon Wireless que viajen a la isla podrán conectarse fácilmente con llamadas, mensajes de texto y datos – mientras se encuentren en ese país, a través de la opción del Servicio Prepagado para Viajes Internacionales que ofrece la compañía”, informó la proveedora por medio de un comunicado.
Para contar con este servicio, los clientes que posean un World Device y estén por viajar a Cuba, podrán optar por agregar la opción del Servicio Prepagado para Viajes Internacionales. Mientras se encuentren en Cuba, las llamadas de voz costarán $2.99 por minuto, los datos costarán $2.05 por megabyte y se aplicarán las tarifas estándar internacionales para los mensajes de texto. Esto les permite a los clientes poder mantenerse conectados mientras se encuentren en Cuba.
