Next year will be released a tribute album to the also Cuban Benny Moré Jon Secada. The album, which will start recording next week in Puerto Rico by the Puerto Rican Charlie Sepúlveda teacher, will include ten of the best known songs of the King of Rhythm.
Secada, who was born in Cuba but from the age of eight living in the United States, said in an interview with EFE that this new work will bring you back to her Cuban roots and reconnect with his best music.
Topics such as “pain and forgiveness”, “Crazy Heart”, “Francisco Guayabal”, “How good you dance”, “Cienfuegos” “Nice and tasty” and “How was” are some of those included in the tribute album the Sonero Mayor of Cuba. In addition, advanced Secada, “We will try to capture the voice of Benny to do a duet with him.”
Known for hits like “Another day without you ‘and’ Angel ‘, the Cuban-American singer said he expects the new project to help promote and publicize the mambo among younger generations. “If God wants could bring a musical heritage of meaning and was the mambo and son, these Afro-Cuban rhythms that eventually became what is the essence of tropical music, salsa,” he said.
Benny Moré emphasized dynamism, strength on stage and ability to lead his orchestra, his unique timbre and his contributions to tropical music and sounds as the son and mambo.
“The biggest influence Benny is within the mambo and son, his career is the story of those rhythms that became hereditary in what is today the tropical music,” said the artist on the 4th hold its 54 birthday.

El próximo año verá la luz un disco homenaje a Benny Moré del también cubano Jon Secada. El disco, que comenzará a grabar la próxima semana en Puerto Rico junto al maestro boricua Charlie Sepúlveda, incluirá diez de las más conocidas canciones del Bárbaro del Ritmo.
Secada, quien nació en Cuba pero desde los ocho años reside en Estados Unidos, indicó en entrevista concedida a la agencia EFE que este nuevo trabajo le hará volver a sus raíces cubanas y reencontrarse con lo mejor de su música.
Temas como “Dolor y perdón”, “Corazón rebelde”, “Francisco Guayabal”, “Qué bueno baila usted”, “Cienfuegos”, “Bonito y sabroso” y “Cómo fue” son algunos de los que se incluirán en el disco tributo al Sonero Mayor de Cuba. Además, adelantó Secada, “Vamos a tratar de captar la voz de Benny para hacer un dueto con él”.
Conocido por éxitos como ‘Otro día más sin verte’ y ‘Angel’, el cantante cubano-americano comentó que espera que el nuevo proyecto pueda contribuir a promocionar y dar a conocer el mambo entre las generaciones más jóvenes. “Si Dios quiere podría traer una herencia musical de lo que significa y significó el mambo y el son, esos ritmos afrocubanos que eventualmente se convirtieron en lo que es la esencia de la música tropical, la salsa”, acotó.
De Benny Moré recalcó su dinamismo, fuerza en el escenario y capacidad para dirigir su orquesta, su singular timbre de voz y sus aportes para la música tropical y sus sonoridades como el son y el mambo.
“La influencia más grande de Benny es dentro del mambo y el son, su trayectoria es la historia de esos ritmos que se convirtieron por herencia en lo que es hoy en día la música tropical”, aseguró el artista que el próximo día 4 celebrará su 54 cumpleaños.
