Five players of the Cuban soccer team would have escaped during the celebration in Kansas City Olympic qualifying tournament of the Confederation of North America, Central and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF), AP reports.
United States 6-1 on Saturday crushed a dismal selected and secured a place in the semifinals.
Cuba faced US with only four players on the bench, including two goalkeepers, after the alleged escape of several selected. CONCACAF confirmed Wednesday that three of them were missing and a fourth went to the crash on Thursday. Another player, defender Brian Rosales, was not present on Saturday.
