Ciego de Avila, Feb. 27 / PD – To coincide with the event and for several days in the cinema ‘Carmen’, in Ciego de Avila, provincial capital, were shown videos with examples of these manifestations of company directors and officers of the People (read government). As this information, the newspaper Invader, Organ of the Communist Party Provincial Ciego de Avila, published a note at the end of the last page, titled “Moving Pictures”, which reads as follows and I quote: “The Assembly Provincial People’s Power of Ciego de Avila in extraordinary session held on February 9, 2012, approved the revocation of the office of president José Ignacio Quinones Venegas for his role in serious acts of violation of the provisions of the Code of Ethics incompatible with the position occupied. ”
As always, the news blackout imposed, genesis of speculation and misinformation government cover-ups and popular discontent. There are few who say that soon will be redirected to other levels, perhaps “fall up” as almost always happens. Others felt that it would have to change the system, that does not work. For now, people are looking forward to and take into account that those who sit in the dock are just “the people’s representatives.”

CORRUPCION EN ALTAS ESFERAS DE GOBIERNO EN CIEGO DE AVILA
Ciego de Ávila, 27 de febrero/ PD/ En coincidencia con el evento y durante varios días, en la sala del cine Carmen, en Ciego de Ávila, cabecera provincial, se proyectaron videos con ejemplos recientes de estas manifestaciones a directores de empresas y dirigentes del Poder Popular (léase gobierno). Los actores principales: directivos y personas a cargo de recursos y finanzas del país.
La sabiduría popular sentenció que algunos de los espectadores serán actores protagónicos en las próximas entregas. No se equivocaron. Hace varios días, la ciudad de Ciego de Ávila se estremece por lo que hasta ahora parece ser el escándalo político más grande ocurrido en el territorio.
La población se muestra indignada por los acontecimientos y la desinformación y el silencio de los medios oficiales. A pesar de esto, es de conocimiento popular que la directora municipal de Vivienda se encuentra arrestada con expediente en fase investigativa por usar a su antojo y lucrar con los medios y artículos confiscados a las personas que salen del país con carácter definitivo. Igual se encuentra un inspector de ese organismo que negociaba trámites y entrega de casas a cambio de prebendas.
El lunes 6 de febrero, el diario Granma, órgano oficial del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de Cuba, informó sobre la visita a la provincia de Gladys Bejerano Portela, Contralora General de la república. Una vez más, los medios no informaron sobre lo que verdaderamente acontecía en el territorio. Pasadas unas horas, fuentes anónimas temerosas de represalias informaban que el presidente de la Asamblea Provincial del Poder Popular, máxima autoridad del gobierno local había renunciado y varios dirigentes se encontraban detenidos domiciliariamente en espera de ser procesados por delito de corrupción. Entre ellos, el presidente de la Asamblea Municipal del Poder Popular y otros destituidos de sus cargos.
Al cierre de esta información, el periódico Invasor, Órgano del Comité Provincial del Partido Comunista de Ciego de Ávila, publicó una nota, al final de la última página, titulada “Movimiento de cuadros”, donde expresa lo siguiente y cito: “La Asamblea Provincial del Poder Popular de Ciego de Ávila en sesión extraordinaria celebrada el 9 de febrero de 2012, aprobó la revocación del cargo de presidente a José Ignacio Quiñones Venegas por su responsabilidad en hechos violatorios graves de los preceptos del Código de Ética incompatibles con el cargo que ocupaba”.
Como siempre, se impone la censura informativa, génesis de la especulación y desinformación gubernamental, encubrimientos y descontento popular. No son pocos los que afirman que pronto irán a dirigir a otros niveles, quizás “caigan para arriba” como ocurre casi siempre. Otros opinaron que lo que habría que cambiar es el sistema, que no funciona. Por lo pronto, la población está a la expectativa y tiene en cuenta que quienes se sientan al banquillo de los acusados son precisamente “los representantes del pueblo”.
