Miami is the city where most Cubans arrive. The number of Cubans who entered the sector of Miami during the fiscal year 2015 was more than double over the previous year, passing from 4.709 to 9,999. In the first 10 months of the fiscal year 2016, 8.960 Cubans have entered Miami.
The Cuban emigration soared after the thaw between Cuba and the United States. During the first 10 months of the year fiscal 2016, 46,635 Cuban have entered to the country through the borders.

La emigración cubana se disparó tras el deshielo entre Cuba y EEUU. Durante los primeros 10 meses del año fiscal 2016, 46,635 cubanos han entrado al país a través de las fronteras.
Un informe de Pew Research Center alude a cómo ha ido en aumento la inmigración cubana hacia Estados Unidos en el 2016.

*Durante los primeros 10 meses del año fiscal 2016, 46,635 cubanos han entrado en los Estados Unidos a través de las fronteras, – superando ya la cifra total de 43.159 registrada en el año fiscal 2015, según datos de Aduanas y Protección Fronteriza estadounidense.
*Esa cifra supera en 78 por ciento la registrada en el 2014, cuando 24,278 cubanos entraron en los Estados Unidos.
*En el 2011 llegaron 7.759 cubanos a suelo estadounidense.
*De enero a marzo de 2015, 9.900 cubanos entraron en los Estados Unidos, que representa más del doble de los 4.746 que llegaron durante el mismo período del 2014.
*El aumento continuó en el año fiscal 2016 y alcanzó su punto máximo en el primer trimestre (octubre-diciembre 2015), cuando 16.444 cubanos entraron al país, aumentando el 78% en comparación con el mismo trimestre del año fiscal 2015.

*La mayoría de los cubanos que entraron en los Estados Unidos por tierra llegó a través de la frontera de Laredo. Solo en el año fiscal 2015, fue el paso usado por dos tercios (28.371) de cubanos.
*Hasta ahora en el año fiscal 2016, Laredo ha seguido recibiendo la mayoría (64%) de los migrantes cubanos que entran en Estados Unidos por tierra.
*También llegan muchos cubanos por el punto fronterizo de El Paso. En los primeros 10 meses del 2016 ingresaron por esa frontera 4.810 cubanos. Unos 698 cubanos habían entrado por El Paso en el 2015.
*En el año fiscal 2015, la Guardia Costera informó que interceptó a 3.505 cubanos en el mar, el número más alto respecto al resto de los países, lo que supera a los 2.111 cubanos detenidos en el año fiscal 2014.
*Unos dos millones de desdeciendientes de cubanos viven en EEUU, lo que lo sitúa como el tercer mayor grupo de origen hispano después de los mexicanos y puertorriqueños. De ellos, el 57% nació en el extranjero. La proporción ha disminuido desde 68% registrado en el 2000, a pesar de la creciente llegada de cubanos a EE.UU.
