Lina Salomé, que emigró de Cuba a México, fue una actriz y bailarina icónica de la década de 1950. Su verdadero nombre era Luz de Peña Matos Estévez. Fue muy querida y admirada en México, porque además de ser una
trigueña de ojos verdes muy bella, actuaba, cantaba y bailaba.
En el cine se destacó en películas como Alma de Acero (1957), co-protagonizada por Luis Aguilar. Salomé es también conocido por su papel recurrente de “Ana” en Los chiflados del Rock and Roll (1957) y Los tres bohemios (1957). Como muchos cubanos, Salomé encontró una carrera constante en México. Después de 1957, su trabajo en el cine se desvaneció, pero todavía se conoce como la “bailarina-actriz cubana” que, a causa de su belleza, se podría comparar con la actriz mexicana María Félix.
