The Spanish group Globalia will run three other establishments in Cuba, totaling seven nationwide, under its division Be Live Hotels specialized media reported.
Two of the new acquisitions are located in Varadero Beach, where the group administers five establishments, and the third one is in Havana, totaling two facilities run by the Spanish group in the Cuban capital, reported the website Preferente.com, which was quoted by the weekly Girón.
Globalia Chairman Juan José Hidalgo highlighted the excellent relations between the company and Cuban authorities, according to the source.
Hidalgo stated that the group will carry out another tourist project in Cuba, which will consist of a golf course, two hotels, a convention center and apartments for sale, said the online newspaper.
In 2017, Varadero, Cuba’s major coastal resort, was visited by 1.7 millions foreign holidaymakers, and for the tenth consecutive year, the resort received more than one million foreign tourists, according to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur).

El presidente de Globalia, Juan José Hidalgo, destacó las excelentes relaciones entre la empresa y las autoridades cubanas, según la fuente.
Hidalgo afirmó que el grupo llevará a cabo otro proyecto turístico en Cuba, que consistirá en un campo de golf, dos hoteles, un centro de convenciones y apartamentos en venta, dijo el periódico en línea.
En 2017, Varadero, el principal centro vacacional costero de Cuba, fue visitado por 1.7 millones de turistas extranjeros, y por décimo año consecutivo, el resort recibió a más de un millón de turistas extranjeros, según estadísticas del Ministerio de Turismo (Mintur).
